Q1: How does it heat up?
Iron powder inside the mask oxidises when it meets the air, which releases heat. That is why it only starts warming once you open the sachet.
Q2: How hot does it get?
Around 40°C, which is warm and comfortable rather than hot, and it holds for roughly twenty minutes.
Q3: What does hinoki smell like?
Hinoki is Japanese cypress, the wood used for traditional ofuro bathtubs. The scent is woody and clean rather than sweet or floral.
Q4: Can I sleep in one?
No. Use it while awake and remove it before sleeping.
Q5: Can I wear it over makeup?
You can, but the steam will likely lift eye makeup. Most people use it after cleansing.
