Q:1 Where does the emulsion go in a routine?
A: After cleansing and after your lotion, serum or ampoule. In a Japanese routine the emulsion is the step that seals in what came before it.
Q:2 Why seven types of hyaluronic acid?
A: Different molecular weights behave differently and sit at different depths of the stratum corneum. Blending them holds water across the surface rather than at a single level.
Q:3 What is sacran?
A: A polysaccharide from Suizenji nori, a freshwater algae found in Japan. It is used as a water-binding ingredient.
Q:4 Is it fragranced?
A: No. It is fragrance free, colorant free and alcohol free.
Q:5 Do I need the lotion as well?
A: The line is designed to work as a routine, with the lotion first and the emulsion after. The emulsion works on its own, but the pair is how Hada Labo intends it.
