EBISU -- Kids Toothbrush Snoopy 6 years old and over
Ebisu makes children's toothbrushes in age bands rather than as a single kids' product, and this is the six years and over version carrying a Snoopy design. The age band is not decoration. A six year old's mouth, hand size and grip strength are all different from a three year old's, and the head size, handle length and bristle specification change accordingly across the range.
Six is also a specific stage in dental terms. It is roughly when the first permanent molars arrive at the back of the mouth, behind the baby teeth, and those molars sit in a position that is genuinely awkward for a child to reach. A brush sized for this age band is shaped with that in mind.
The Snoopy design does real work too, which is easy to dismiss. A child who likes their toothbrush argues less about using it, and twice daily brushing is a habit built over years rather than a single evening. Designs and colours are assigned at random, so the brush you receive may not match the image.

1. Apply an age appropriate amount of children's toothpaste. Check the amount with your dentist, and follow the guidance on the toothpaste packaging.
2. Have your child hold the brush at roughly a forty five degree angle to the gum line rather than flat against the teeth.
3. Help them work through the mouth in sections using small circular motions, so no area is missed.
4. Pay particular attention to the back molars, which arrive around this age and are the hardest place for a child to reach unaided.
5. Brush for about two minutes, twice a day, then have your child spit out and rinse the brush head thoroughly.
6. Store the brush upright with the head uncovered so it can air dry. Replace it every three months, or sooner if the bristles splay.

Ebisu Corporation traces its origins to an Osaka sundries merchant established in 1896, and registered the Ebisu toothbrush trademark in 1919. The company incorporated as a toothbrush manufacturer in 1963 and now produces oral care goods from Nara prefecture, alongside a range of household plastic products. Its children's brushes are organised by age band and carry licensed character designs, and the adult range is known for wide multi row heads and tightly specified bristle grades. Ebisu brushes are a familiar sight in Japanese pharmacies and supermarkets.

A: Head size, handle length and bristle specification all change with it. A six year old's mouth and grip are different from a three year old's, and around six the first permanent molars arrive at the back of the mouth, which changes what the brush needs to reach.
A: No. Ebisu ships these in assorted designs and colours, assigned at random, so the brush you receive may differ from the photograph.
A: Every three months, or sooner if the bristles begin to splay. Children often need replacements more frequently because they chew the bristles.
A: Supervise brushing at this age. Children generally need help reaching the back molars properly and managing the full two minutes.
