KAO Attack Super Clean EX Laundry Detergent 750g

Attack is Kao's everyday laundry line and one of the most recognisable household brands in Japan. This is the Super Clean EX version, a concentrated laundry liquid aimed at the ordinary problem of clothes that come out of the machine clean-looking but not quite clean-smelling, particularly collars, cuffs and anything worn against the skin in summer.

Being concentrated, the dose per load is smaller than a standard supermarket detergent, which is why a 750 g bottle covers more washes than the size suggests.  As a liquid detergent it dissolves fully in cold water, which matters because a powder that does not dissolve leaves residue in the fibres rather than lifting anything out of them.

It handles everyday laundry: cottons, synthetics, work clothes, bedding and towels. For wool, silk and anything marked hand-wash, Kao makes Emal instead, which is a neutral formulation built for exactly those fabrics.

1.     Sort laundry by colour and fabric type as usual.

2.     Measure the dose indicated on the bottle for your load size and water hardness.

3.     Add to the detergent compartment of your machine.

4.     Run the appropriate cycle for the fabric.

5.     For heavily soiled collars or cuffs, apply a small amount directly to the area and leave for a few minutes before washing.

6.     Close the cap and store the bottle upright.

Key Ingredients

●        Surfactants: the cleaning agents that lift oils and grime from fabric so they rinse away.

●        Nonionic higher alcohol surfactant at 19 per cent: the cleaning system that lifts oils and grime from fabric so they rinse away.

●        Enzymes: break down protein and starch-based soiling that surfactants alone leave behind.

●        pH adjuster and stabiliser: hold the formula at its working pH through storage.

●        Fluorescent whitening agent: an optical brightener that makes whites appear brighter under daylight.

Claims

●        Contains a fluorescent whitening agent. Not suitable for fabrics where optical brighteners are undesirable, including some naturally coloured linens and flame-resistant items.

●        Laundry detergent. Do not use for any other purpose.

●        Check garment care labels before use. Not for wool, silk or hand-wash items. 

●        Do not mix with bleach or other laundry products.

●        Avoid prolonged skin contact. Wear gloves if handling repeatedly.

●        Avoid contact with the eyes. If the product gets in the eyes, rinse thoroughly with water.

Kao Corporation has been making household and personal care products in Japan since 1882, and its laundry range is organised around specific jobs rather than a single all-purpose product. Attack covers everyday washing and is one of the most established detergent brands in Japan, while Emal handles wool, silk and delicates that everyday detergent would damage.
