KAO Flair Fabric Softener Musk & Muguet Scent 510ml

Flair Fragrance is Kao's fragrance-led fabric softener line, and Japanese softeners in this category are built around scent as much as around softness. The Relax variant is the quieter end of the range. Musk & Muguet opens with lily of the valley, which is fresh, green and slightly powdery, and settles onto a gentle sweet musk. Kao positions it for the laundry you want to smell calm rather than bold, which in practice means pyjamas, loungewear, towels, pillowcases and sheets.

As a fabric conditioner it does the usual work alongside the fragrance: it softens the hand of the fabric, cuts static cling in dry indoor air, and makes creased items easier to smooth out. The 510ml bottle is the standard size and is refillable from the larger Flair refill pouches.

Dosing goes into the softener compartment for automatic and drum machines. For twin-tub machines it is added once the rinse water is clear.

1.     For fully automatic and drum-type machines, pour the measured dose into the fabric softener dispenser before starting the wash.

2.     For twin-tub or washing-tub machines, wait until the rinse water runs clear, then add the measured dose.

3.     Run for about three minutes, or leave to soak, then spin dry.

4.     Follow the dosing guide on the bottle for your load size. More product does not mean more scent.

5.     Do not pour the softener directly onto dry fabric.
