OVERVIEW

Product Description

Skin that is both dull and easily irritated is an awkward combination, because most brightening products make the irritation worse. This mask is built for that overlap. The Mediheal Centella Niacin Ampoule Mask comes ten to a box on a bamboo-derived cellulose sheet.

The two headline ingredients sit high and at published concentrations. Centella Asiatica extract is listed third at 50,220ppm, and niacinamide fifth at 20,000ppm. Around them sit arbutin, tranexamic acid and the brand's Gigawhite blend of peppermint, cowslip, speedwell, yarrow, lady's mantle, lemon balm and mallow extracts. Dipotassium glycyrrhizate and a run of amino acids fill out the rest. The sheet is silky and adheres closely, and the formula contains fragrance and alcohol.

It suits dull, tired-looking and sensitive-feeling skin. If you only buy fragrance-free products or avoid alcohol in skincare, this is worth skipping.

Got questions? We’ve got answers!

1. How often should I use one?

Two to three times a week suits most people, or as needed.

2. Does it have a scent?

Yes. Fragrance is listed in the ingredients, so this is not a fragrance-free mask.

3. What is Gigawhite?

A branded blend of seven herbal extracts including peppermint, cowslip, speedwell, yarrow, lady's mantle, lemon balm and mallow, used in the brand's Centella Bright Active complex.

4. Is the sheet vegan?

Yes. Mediheal states the sheet is vegan certified.

5. How does it compare with the Cica Calming Ampoule Mask?

Both use Centella. The Cica Calming version focuses on comfort and sebum, while the centella niacin mask adds niacinamide, arbutin and tranexamic acid for tone.
