Senka perfect whip has been a fixture on Japanese drugstore shelves for years, and the reason is the foam. Worked up with water, a short squeeze turns into a dense, marshmallow-like lather that holds its shape on your palm. You wash with that foam rather than rubbing cleanser directly onto your face, which is what makes it feel gentle despite being an effective wash.
This is the original Skin Care formula rather than one of the variants. It keeps the silk essence the line is known for, with sericin and hydrolyzed silk alongside sodium hyaluronate and sodium acetylated hyaluronate for the double hyaluronic acid the brand references.
As a foam cleanser it works as the second step in a double cleanse, after an oil or balm. Senka is a Shiseido line, which is why the formula punches above its price point, and the 120 g tube lasts months at the recommended one to two centimetres per wash.
