Overview

VT's Reedle Shot line splits by concern. Pro Cica is for skin that feels unsettled, Vita-Light for skin that looks dull, and this one, the Reti-A, is the retinoid version aimed at texture and firmness.

The structure is the same across the family. Step 1 is the Reti-A Reedle Shot essence, which contains the microscopic spicules that give the formula its distinctive tingle. Step 2 is a jelly-textured hydrogel mask that goes on top and holds everything in place. As a vt mask it works as an occasional treatment rather than a routine staple.

The ingredient list is where it differs. Three retinoid-family ingredients sit together: retinol, hydroxypinacolone retinoate and bakuchiol, the plant-derived alternative. Niacinamide is fourth on the list, with centella asiatica, allantoin and adenosine alongside. As a retinol mask it is designed for evening use, and daily sunscreen the following morning matters.

The hydrogel mask comes in two pieces that adjust to the face, and VT gives three wear options: 20 to 40 minutes for standard use, two to three hours for a more saturated result, or overnight.

Got questions? We’ve got answers!

How is this different from the Pro Cica and Vita-Light versions?

Same two-step structure and the same spicule technology. Pro Cica is built on centella for skin that feels unsettled. Vita-Light is built on vitamin C for dullness. Reti-A is the retinoid version, aimed at texture and firmness.

What is the tingling sensation?

It comes from the microscopic spicules in the Step 1 essence. A light tingle is expected and settles as the essence absorbs. If it feels sharp or uncomfortable, rinse off.

How long should I leave the mask on?

20 to 40 minutes is standard. VT also gives options of two to three hours, or overnight, for a more saturated result.

Do I need sunscreen the next day?

Yes. Wear a broad spectrum sunscreen the following morning, as you should with any vitamin A product.

Can I use it while pregnant?

Speak to your doctor first. Vitamin A derivatives are usually avoided during pregnancy and breastfeeding.
